Red Doors Farm is quintessentially Devon.  The 500 year old Grade II* listed historic Devon longhouse together with its original group of flint and thatch cottages, form an enchanting private hamlet nestling in the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We have 6 luxury self-catering holiday cottages sleeping from 2 – 14* guests (*when combining The Farmhouse and Byre Cottage), plus cots, that can be booked for 7, 10 or 14 night holidays (or even longer if you wish!) and short breaks; from long weekends to mid week stays.  All of our cottages are furnished to an extremely high standard and each has achieved a Gold Award and been graded 5* by Visit England.  We strive to provide everything you need to make Red Doors Farm a comfortable and relaxing home away from home.  Our extensive facilities are set in two acres of beautiful, well-kept gardens and include a large heated indoor swimming pool, games rooms and children's play areas (both indoors and outdoors).  There is so much to keep you entertained here at Red Doors Farm that you don't really need to go anywhere else, but if you're feeling adventurous then there is a wide variety of activities and attractions nearby to centrally located Red Doors Farm.

Red Doors Farm enjoys splendid views across the Otter Valley and it feels totally off the beaten track, yet it is so accessible.  We are just 3 miles from the market town of Honiton and Exeter is only a 30-minute drive away. East Devon is known as the 'countryside by the sea' and the unspoilt southern coastline, with its beaches, pretty fishing villages and smugglers coves, is only half an hour away.

The area is superb for walking whatever your level of fitness.  You can enjoy fine countryside and fabulous views right from our doorstep, follow the coastal path or explore the wilds of Dartmoor and Exmoor.  There are also many historic houses, castles and gardens including some fine National Trust properties; such as Killerton House, Castle Drogo and Knightshayes Court.  There are also plenty of attractions for children of all ages; from theme parks and wildlife parks to steam railways and farms.  Or they could try something different; such as sea fishing for mackerel, fossil hunting or even pony trekking.

On-site Facilities and Equipment for Babies & Children

We have worked hard to provide on-site facilities and equipment to make taking a holiday with babies and young children easy and fun for parents and which saves valuable boot space in the car!  We provide a wide range of equipment, all at no extra charge such as; baby baths and non-slip bath mats, travel cots with extra mattresses, playpens, baby bouncers, sterilisers, stair gates, fireguards, baby monitors and blackout blinds.  As your children get older we continue to provide facilities for them such as; bed guards and booster seats, high chairs, toddler steps, built in toddler toilet seats and plastic crockery and cutlery for meal times.
